So update on my birthday surprise!
Friday night Hillary told me NOT to make any plans for Monday night and that she had a surprise for me.  In Hillary fashion she wanted to tell me so bad but I wouldn't let her.

Sunday night she calls to tell me it's on Newbury Street and that I should plan to meet her at 5pm.  Obviously this has my mind racing now!  I had a few ideas that it could be but I still wasn't sure.  I ended up meeting her at her work around 4 instead so as we were walking to the T to go to Newbury she told me - she set up appointments for both of us to go to the Spa for massages and manicures.  AMAZING.  Never once did that go into my mind.  When she first told me she had a surprise for me I thought it was going to be her making my favorite Carollo dinner (Poppy Seed Chicken FYI) so naturally I was super excited for the Spa.  She told me we were going to Spa Newbury but didn't have to be there till 6pm so we found it a great time to get a drink (or few) before.

We went to Sonsie and sat at the bar and enjoyed some wine and watched the beginning of the worst game ever.  We decided we had a huge crush on the bartender and that we may have to go back JUST to see him.  By the time we left to head to the spa the game was 4-1.  Bad sign.
On our way to the spa we pass by Johnny Cupcakes and mention how it reminds us of Rachel, our friend who did a little modeling for JC and we look in the window and we see her friend Danny working there.  We bust in and hugs all around.  That store is amazing.  I've been a fan of JC for a while yet never owning any article of clothing.  His story is just so great and he's a South Shore boy so obvs I'm interested.  We chatted with Danny for a bit about his band - LionsLions and that I need to catch a show asap and about other randomness.  Since I was finally in the store I found it apropos to finally represent this brand that I respect so much.  So I took this guy home with me..

EDIT:  Ok the shirt I got is so special that it's not online yet.  But seriously go check out his shit.  If you LOVE Boston, Cupcakes and attention to detail PLEASE check out the website and or hit up his store on Newbury Street.

Anywho. Next stop was the spa.  It was super cute and totally relaxing even in the lobby.  My massage was amazing.  So amazing I almost fell asleep (ok I think I DID fall asleep).  The room was super nice and not like the first time I got a massage.  Back story (no pun intended) I got my first massage just about two years ago and I hated it.  It was at a retreat and kind of an odd location.  The lady sucked and kept yelling at me for not relaxing (sorry lady I have an insane job) but last nights experience totally turned my massage history around.  I feel like there is no more stress in my neck or my lower back.  Amazing.  Then I got a manicure which was also fantastic and the woman who did it kept complimenting my nails.  She's like you have GREAT nails - like 10 times.  I decided to go for a red nail - the red in the bottle was perfect - the red on my fingers look like Dorothy's ruby slippers.  Still awesome.

After the spa we walked and talked about how great it was (and after like 15 hugs to smart Hillary) and decided we could totally go for another drink and some food.  We ended up going to Match - where I have wanted to go for years!  There wasn't anyone there so we sat at the bar and continued watching previously said tragic Red Sox game.  We got a yummy martini and a mini burger.  Mini tuna burger I must add.  So good and perfect ending to an amazing day.

Seriously I don't even know how to thank Hillary for this.  She totally gets it.  I love to be surprised and be caught off guard.  I was so happy I cried a little while I was getting my massage.  She's so damn smart.  I'm already starting to plan great things for her birthday (no seriously I am). We had so much fun and realize we should do it more often.  She doesn't read my blog but I'll make her read this one (HI HILLARY)!!!!!

After our little meal and sadness of the game we trudged to the T with all the other sad Sox fans.  When we passed by the Fenway stop lots more sad Sox fans came on and I made it a rule to allow NO Tampa Bay fans on.  Lucky for them - none took the T.  That's right.  We befriended a couple of guys who we were thisclose to for a good chunk of the ride.  Two seats became available and they grabbed them for us.  So we continue talking and one of them is like can I sit on your lap??  Totally expecting me to say NO he's like AHAH Just kidding.  I was like "No please do!".  He's like "Oh I was kidding... but now that you mention it" and takes a seat.I had to ask him the obligatory "So what do you want for Christmas" as he listed out things he would like.  Hilarious. He was too cute and so was his friend.  We got off the train, walked to Hill's car and headed back home.

Thanks Hurdy for the most fun night I have had in a LONG TIME.

Why does the weekend go so fast?  Unfair.

Friday night Hill, John, Pat, Robyn I went to Margaritas on 3A.  So random and I always wonder why I don't go there more often.  When I got there I remembered.  The food is subpar (and expensive) and the margaritas are NOT good.  Misleading for a place named so.  But I had $10 dollars off because it's my bday month so I decided it would be a good idea.  Fast forward to getting home after the Sox game I realized I didn't even use the stupid coupon.
Went to Gary's house after to watch the game (WHICH WE WON!) and everyone learned about my weird habit of folding underwear.  It just fits in the drawer better sheesh.  After the game we watched a little of Knocked Up and then I decided I was tres tired and went home to sleep.

Saturday Hills and I went on a little shopping excursion and I will tell you we did alot better than I thought we would (as in we did really good not spending a million dollars). I got myself a gorgeous pair of shoes.
They don't look as cute on the website.  I'll take a picture when I wear them out tonight.  So cute and so comfortable.  I tried on another pair similar to these but they looked so elf-ish they got nixed.  We had to hit up Old Navy because the Old Navy in Dedham is seriously the best in the area.  I picked up a cute Fall dress (that I am hopefully going to adapt for the Mad Men party I'm going to - more on that later), and some other necessities.  Totally my fourth weekend in a row going shopping there.  So bad.

We went back to her house and made dinner and watched Made of Honor (ok kind of really cute) and Sex and the City (tears).  I think so matter how many times I see that movie I will cry everytime!  Then I went home to watch the game which I almost didn't make it through.  Ok Tampa Bay - I HATE their cowbells.  Seriously is that all you've got.  You can't get riled up for your crappy team any other way.  I guess I'm just spoiled being a Red Sox fan.  And they kept showing all of the people in TB napping and shit.  Seriously if that game was in Fenway we'd be rallying.  Man I really wish I was going to the game tonight.

Yesterday I decided to go for a walk at Castle Island.  I will admit that I hadn't gone there all summer (except for the time Robyn and I attempted to go in the Spring but it was too cold). Also that structure that was in the middle of the sugar bowl is not there anymore (the thing Donnie Wahlberg runs on top of in the movie Southie - yeah never understood how he got up there).  Yesterday was the PERFECT fall day.   Not too hot and not to cold and perfect for a walk in a hoodie.   It was TOO gorgeous there and obvs I had to take pictures:

Those picture defines what I love about Boston.  It's so exciting and pretty much the best city in the world but there are places like this also.  I had a nice walk while playing the plane game by myself.  Not as fun but whatever.  The plane game goes back to being a real little one playing at the playground there.  When you see the plane coming in (CI is RIGHT next to Logan Airport) everyone guesses what airline it is and whoever gets it right - is the winner lol.  We used to say who ever won would get to go first on the slide (or get the best swing).  We'll have to think of some new prizes.

I have some sort of birthday surprise coming to me tonight but I don't know what it is.  Hillary can't keep secrets but I told her NOT TO TELL ME.  I heart surprises.  Keep you posted.

Ahh so last night's FAKE SNL or TNL (Thursday Night Live for the abbreviated challenged) Weekend Update totally redeemed itself for all the sucky Weekend Updates that have been in the regular episodes thus far.  Last nights TNL also brought back my favorite favorite segment called "REALLY!!! With Seth and Amy" regarding AIG and their half a million dollar company retreat after their $85 billion dollar bailout.  Hillary and I have a special place in our hearts for REALLY!!  Hill,  I was thinking we could just start our own and film them.  Yep.  Anywho - thanks to NBC you can see it if you missed it.

You have to skip to around 2:09 to see Really!  but the stuff before was pretty funny too.  The extra treat is that they debuted a NEW segment called "OMG ARE YOU SERIOUS!  With Seth and Amy".  I think I got like 5 texts come in at that exact moment with AHH PERFECT!

Work has been getting me down a little bit this week for a variety of reasons so I'm hoping the weekend will be exactly what I need to be rejuvenated.  I just feel no matter how hard and late I work, and all the projects I take on so I can look valuable to senior employees - I'm still at the bottom because I'm a junior associate.    I liked when we were all equals - but I guess that's what comes with corporate america.  I have a few projects to finish up today but I'm alone in the office so I can play my music all loud and zone out (it's the little things really).

No big plans this weekend besides drinking alot of wine and going to DSW for a new pair of shoes!  I have $15 dollars off on any purchase - $5 because it's my bday month and $10 from a random coupon they sent me.  I don't even know what I want to buy but I need a transition shoe.  Something between sandals and Uggs?  Maybe even something more complex than flats because lord knows I have a million of those.  I've been checking out the website but I can never tell how much I love a pair of shoes till I see them in the flesh.  Shoe politics.

I still want to go apple picking.  At Nashoba Valley you can pick apples and go on a wine tour and taste a ton of wines.  When I went there in the summer we just drank a ton of AMAZING wine - but if I could combine two of my favorite things - wine and apples - then hello!  I love wine.

Oh!  One more thing.  I just joined 20 Something Bloggers.  So add me!  Or join if you're not a member yet.

Ok so like I said in my previous post:  I really love the new New Kids on the Block album.  I act surprised but I am privy to boy bands.  Thus I post my most listened to artists in the past week:

So Letter's To Cleo.  I'm dying.  In my cleaning rampage Saturday I finally found my ancient copy of "Aurora Gory Alice" and I rejoiced.  "GO!" is still my favorite album but man was I jazzed to find AGA.  I am beyond excited to see them in December.

No Fringe last night made me sad.  I am really over this election.  Well no - let me rephrase that - I can't wait till it's over.  I think politics are very exciting but I feel like it's all anyone talks about.  For example: My neighbor who I love just came over to chat and she's like "O I can't vote for Obama - he's friends with terrorists" - seriously??? Do people really believe this shit??? My favorite is "I think Sarah Palin is more than qualified to be VP.  She's hardworking, classy (!!!!!!) true to herself and her country."  Honestly.  That's all you got.  Well gosh darnit - I'm all those things.  Am I qualified.  NO.

Ok done.  No more politics.

Work was so irritating today.  There are some people who seriously never happy with anything.  I just love it when clients ask for things - you do them - exceptionally might I add - and you still get shit on.  You can never win with some people.  It was one of those three cups of coffee days.  Thank you Dunkin' Donuts.

I totally just realized today that my birthday is next week.  Bananas.  Plans changed slightly last night after Hillary and I had a few glasses of wine and we're thinking Foxwoods or a cruise.  Well alas, Foxwoods is all booked my bday weekend and respective jobs would not be pleased if we just picked up and left.  I'm saving money for the future apartment.  Speaking of money and such I went to check my bank balance yesterday and I see that my credit line has been increased.  Thanks economy.  THANKS.

Really excited for Pushing Daisies tonight.  Too excited. Lee Pace may or may not be my secret love affair.

Ugh Monday!

Thursday night Hillary, John and I watched the Vice Presidential Debate.
One of my college friends welcomed me to the world of Palin Bingo!  So fun.  I was making my own list of Sarah Palin "buzz words" but Palin Bingo did it for me.  I did NOT win but I did enjoy some wine and some healthy arguments with John.  Even though I didn't win (Hillary did - for the record ) I had fun waiting for the buzz words.  Oh and we also drank lots of wine as you can see.

I do agree Sarah Palin did not fail.  But it irritates that are giving her so much praise for doing well - she did well because the bar was REAL low.  She was more personable but still condescending - much like her maverick John McCain.  I like Joe Biden because he stutters a little and often tries to push words out faster than they want to come out - much like myself.  SNL did a GREAT parody of the debates (complete with a Palin Bingo/drinking game shoutout).

Friday my office mate begged me to go home at about 2:30 because I was still so sick.  But not sick that I couldn't work - she just didn't want to get sick. Understandably she has two little tykes!  So I went home - did a little more work and got ready to go out for Pat's birthday.  I got him lots of Office themed pieces - including Serenity by Jan candles.  SO awesome.  Hillary got him a pack of mustaches (EDIT: PHOTO HERE!).  I think that was the Hollywood.  After dinner he gave one to the parking attendant.  Pat only gets classier with age.

Soon Hillary, John, Pat, Gary and I headed into Boston to enjoy some asian faire at PF Changs.  Seriously so good.  We had a great time and realized the first time most of us bonded was at PF Changs in Vegas.  First time I realized I liked Gary was at PF Changs.  Long story short he got wasted and called a friend of a friend Beefcake.  It just fit so well and stuck.  After dinner the boys got little desserts.  Really little.

Cute and only two bucks!! I was done with food for the night so I just watched.
My fortune cookie also had a great message:

Hope it's true.

We went to leave and Pat thought he would do a cartwheel in the parking lot.  I missed the act of the cart but I got him paining after.  We all get old.

Saturday I spent the day cleaning.  I cleaned all day.  I washed tons of clothes, tons of sheets and made some bags for good will.  I have a confession to make and it kind of dawned on me while cleaning:  I really love the new New Kids album.  Honestly I thought it would be awful and I laughed at them making a new album.  It's good though.  Like really good. Totally my new cleaning and working out album.  Don't worry friends, I won't make any of you listen to it (unless you beg).

Robyn and I met up later to go see Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist, which was good.  I'll give it good.  The plot had a ton of holes,  too much Juno-ness (Michael Cera: PLEASE PLAY A NEW CHARACTER) and a really disappointing ending.  However all the New York ness of the movie and the character of Caroline, made up for it.  Seriously.  Caroline is my hero.  And she reminded me of Heather.  The music was also pretty amazing.  Really makes me wish I'd get back into discovering music.  In college I found new bands like every week and I feel like I just don't have the time anymore (this may be the reason for my New Kids explosion).

Sunday was spent chillaxing and reflecting.  I bought some blank CD's. I know.  Very exciting. I had a dream my computer crashed and I lost all my amazing music.  So I took all my music off onto CD's.  So smart Kristen, I thought while smiling to myself.  I really want to buy the new iPod touch but I am resisting heavily.  Can't. Won't.

Watched DH where I got to see my love Gale Harold.  He dates Teri Hatcher's character which is disappointing but hey at least I get to see him every week.  Mad Men was incredible.  Pat and I both geeked over the return of the creepy boy next door.  Majorly creeped out by Betty's dad trying to grab her boob when he thought she was her mom.  Tried to stay up as late as possible to catch the rest of the Red Sox game but I could not.  We lost.  Sad.  My boss is going tonight. Jealous.

You know why my boss deserved the "World's Best Boss" cup.
This is why!
Because she goes apple picking and brings me some back!!  She knows my obsession with apples and all things fall.  She came back just for me. (And to sign my expense report :))
OMG They are so good!! They're both already gone.  Thanks for lunch yo!
Don't mind my messy mess and my FedEx order.

In other awesomeeee news.  Letters to Cleo are touring again!!!! Only a few shows your bet your ass I'll be there singing my face off!!!!
PS When I was looking for an image some images of No Doubt came up instead.  Stupid people.  Get your awesome female fronted 90's bands straight.  Two favorite Boston based bands have reunions, New Kids on the Block and now Letters to Cleo.  What's next?? LFO? :)

I ran my face off last night after work and I think I'm sick now because of it.  Sometimes when I run in the cold it just beats down my immune system.  I can't breathe and I feel like a whale is sitting in my ear.

Last seven days.

It's true.  I've been listening to lots of Rent, old school Third Eye Blind (LOVE) and LFO (obvs).
In other entertainment news.  I bought the first season of Pushing Daisies this past weekend on my adventure to Target.  It was $25 bucks and I was stoked and then I remembered there is only 7 episodes.  That show is so magical I would pay $100 for it.  I have to finish the last few episodes before season two starts tomorrow night.

Fringe tonight!

I can't even put into words how amazing the New Kids on the Block were.  How are they still fantastic!?!?  I found out that I was going Friday. On Thursday Robyn got two tickets and because Hillary and I both wanted to go we had to fight it out.   We told Robyn we were going to wrestle but really we picked a name out of a ramekin.  My name came out so I promised Hillary a bottle of wine and a t shirt.

Sunday Robyn and I met Cailtin and Liz at Quincy Adams and we headed in, with a plan to grab some drinks before heading into the craziness.  Well truth be told craziness came when we hit the Green Line and there were a ton of girls with old school NKOTB memorabilia including the mini dinner plate pins and the water bottles.  One of the women started playing Please Don't go Girl on her iPhone (which I decided I want BTW) and I did my Joey McIntyre dance - that I just made up yesterday.

Enjoyed some pumpkin beer and some crazy ass nachos at Boston Beer Worlds and we headed over to the garden at about 715.  I went to go look for a shirt for Hillary and the one I wanted to get her was sold out EVERYWHERE so I settled on an equally awesome one.  We went in to get our seats (which were insane) and watched the tail end of Natasha Bedingfield who is tragic and should be a rock star instead of the crap music she plays.

New Kids came out around 8pm.  The opening was powerful.  Moving if you will.  Laugh go ahead but man it was chill inducing.  Cliff's notes on the show:
  • Their new stuff I decided is NOT good - cept maybe a few songs
  • They played ALL the goodies and were amazing doing so
  • Jordan totally ripped his shirt off at one point - actually I think a fan (LOL a actual fan not a fanatic - when I read this over I laughed my ass off) blew it open and performed one of his solo songs like that
  • Donnie picked up a guitar - but NEVER played it
  • Donnie is hot
  • Jonathan is adorable and I'm still waiting for him to break out of his shell
  • Did I mention how fabulous they are?
I took four videos and you can see them all at my YouTube page but here is my favorite:

Tonight!!! Kind of my favorite New Kids song. Mostly because it reminds me of being a lil lady and being
sad I didn't have straight hair but when I heard this song and hearing them sing about the "girls with the
curls in their hair" always made me feel cooler than everyone else. :)

We trudged to the T to make our way home. I was tired but still on a concert high which can ONLY describe what happened next. So we're walking down to the platform in Park Street and I see this guy. I'm like I know him. I don't know how though. Ah ha!! I got it!! It's Rich Cronin. Rich Cronin from the band LFO. Don'tlie. You remember them. So blogspot is being mean and is not letting me put the video in here. So click here for some LFO awesomeness. He's the blonde one that points alot. Anyways. I geeked out and apparently said "Oh btw that was Rich Cronin" really loud and then started singing "I like girls that wear Abercrombie Fitch" which probably wasn't so nice of me. Rich I apologize (if I were famous I would Google Alert my name!) for making an ass. Anywho. He looked hot! I wanted to go on his train to talk him up but my uneventful friends wouldn't let me in fear of embarrassment. I just wanted to ask him if he went to the New Kids or the game (my money is on the New Kids). And maybe some more. Oh and also to tell him the Life is Good album was like my anthem of 2001 - and apparently September/October of 2008 because I am so into it again. Thank you Rich Cronin.

This is part of the awesomeness that is Weezer.

Not my vid obvs but still.  Wish this showed Tom's douchey-ness.  Alas it does not - enjoy anyways.

Epic blog coming soon about New Kids, fun stuff, and seeing Rich Cronin on the train.
I know your dying.

OUR TEAM WON!!! The stress, tears, hours, and drama our team went through was TOTALLY worth it!!  Boot Camp was NO joke the toughest professional feat I have EVER been a part of.
AND to top it off I won $500!  I thought our group won $500 and split it but we EACH get it.
Anyways!  This is what I got in my email:
Yes I put it up next to my Big Chip certificate (Big Chip is an award you get for quality client service - I got it in July).

So exciting.  And I got called out as a good presenter.  Being a newbie to the presenting world (first presentation I EVER GAVE!) and being a casual and fun presenter.  Woo.  I feel like crying tears of joy after thinking about the stress.

Instead I'm going to go browse the interwebs for a pres to myself (and for my birthday!! Soon!)

xo
I can't believe how frigidly cold it has gotten in Mass in the past few days.  I need to invest in some shoes that will keep my feet warm (not ready to wear my Uggs or ULU's).  OO which reminds me I have a coupon at DSW!  My hands are frigid too.
It's that time again!
It's definitely been a Weezer type of week!!  Ok so I listen to Weezer alot EVERY week but w/e.  I've been alone in the office this week so I've been listening to my iTunes (me and B usually play 80's iTunes radio - great day passer BTW).  It irks me to no end that if you bought an album on another computer - you can't play it on this one.  Example.  I downloaded MCS "Commit this to Memory" probably one of my favorite CD's of all time -  onto the PC I used to use at home that used to crash like every other day circa 2005-2006. Because of that,  I would have to keep registering my iTunes and when I finally got a computer than worked (THANK YOU MAC GODS) I was never able to register my pod (until I realized I could just make a new account - duh).  But I still cannot play that album on my computer - and well sometimes I just need to listen to it.  Reminds me of becoming a MCS convert, driving around in Long Island and getting Lauren - my non believer roomate - hooked on it.  Man I miss college and New York.  Ok anywho.

I need to plan a trip to New York REAL soon to see Lauren!!  The last one didn't count because it was work related  = nottt fun!  I think my work travels are done for the year though which is good.  Still want to go to Vegas as I noted on my myspace and the outpouring of people who said they would go with me was astounding.  I just need to go somewhere.

Ok things I am excited for:

The Office comes back tonight!!!!!  Seriously so excited.  What's going to happen with Andy/Angela and Dwangela.  Spoiler alert if you haven't seen the finale from last season - Andy asks Angela to marry her - TOTALLY stealing Jim's thunder - but last scene you see Phyllis walking in on past lovers, Dwight and Angela (hence Dwangela) necking in the corner.  Snap.  All I know is that previews show M. Scott with a mustache.  If you haven't watched EVER - watch for that.
Some other Office fun stuff.  I found this yesterday online - Serenity By Jan!!!!
Yeah I know.  Full of WIN.  The descriptions for the scents are amazing.  Personal Favorite.
Hunter Green:
This youthful, firm scent will leave your mouth watering. While designing this candle I felt like a college girl again. Just as Eve was tempted by a decadent apple, you’ll be tempted by the most erotic scent of my collection, "Hunter Green."
Yeah.  AWESOME.

Oh also.  I've been procrastinating a tad this morning - but with good reason:

Amazing.  And if you didn't know already where my loyalty stands....

Thanks to Hillary who didn't think I'd wear it :)

The crazy amount of work drama that went on after that last blog (literally 10 minutes after I posted it) is insane.  I almost want to erase it because it reminds me of how pissed off I was.

Anywho. Everything resulting from the drama was great and full of warm fuzzies.  Thursday I was whisked off to Minneapolis for the presentation I worked my face off for for like 2 months almost.  When we got there we practiced in person one time - took our class picture (again with the warm fuzzies) and put together the presentation room and action!

Side story on the class picture.  We go up to this gorgeous roof deck on the top of my companies headquarters to take a photo of the whole group (60-70 of us??) and up there EVERYONE is enjoying a cocktail and I see all my pals I haven't seen in months and I'm gabbing and long story short I end up RIGHT smack dab in the front middle because I was not paying attention to my original plan of hiding in the back.  Then the big boss comes and stands right next to me.  Greattt!  I'm chugging like 6 gallons of water due to nerves and I'm sweating like crazy and he puts his arm around me.  Seriously one of the coolest guys I know (and not because he would touch a sweaty me).

The presentation went really well.  The judges were eating when we started so I was hoping they wouldn't take notes on how nervous I was.  After I gave my first part I looked at one of my superiors and he smiled and gave me a lil wink.  Cheesy I know but that took all my nerves away immediately.  My second part went a lot better.  As soon as we were done and all the questions were answered I felt literally like a weight was lifted.  I felt like a huge rock of stress was gone from my body.

Party time. I checked into my hotel, changed out of my fancy clothes and met two lovely gals from my team in the hotel bar for celebratory lemon drop shots and a few glasses of wine.  Everyone wanted to go to a bar for more drinks but I was starving (I offically ate not one bite of food till like 9pm in fear of throwing up) so I stayed with Mike and Lori and ate some really yummy food in the bar.

I was going to go up to bed after but I realized I am NEVER in Minn. so I decided to join my co-workers out for some drinks and fun times (fun times they were).  First place we went was Brits.  Totally english bar (as opposed to Boston's Irish Bars??) and they have a huge lawn on the roof deck where you can play all kinds of fun lawn games.  So fun.  I never know what to drink out there because I'm such a Sam girl (Summit is NOT Sam guys...). We stayed there for a bit and I had a heart to heart with one of my account leads on our walk to the next bar called The Local.  CS was my PIC that night and we decided to stick together.  We however went to the second location ( never go with a hippie to a second location!!!! ) and proceeded to drink more.  I had some great conversations about Alkaline Trio and Motion City Soundtrack (from Minneapolis) with my friends fiance and random conversations about Facebook friending.  On the way to the bathroom I found the kissing room (where yes people go inside this dark lit room and make out).  I'll leave the forum open to whether I did or did not go in there:)

Went back to the hotel with Mike and CS and absolutely crashed.  Too much wine, too much beer made me silly.  My electric toothbrush exploded and I didn't even take a picture of it (one of many photo ops I missed during the trip).  Seriously my toothbrush exploded when I turned it on.  The batterys shot out of the bottom and battery acid (CS who was my neighbor called and asked me what that noise was) went everywhere.

Woke up the next day of the All Staff Retreat a little hungover but mostly still going off adrenaline so it was all good.  I decided it would be a good idea to drink a bit of every beverage I could find after getting to the retreat - I bring you my bevy of bevvies:
Yes I drank all of those through out the day and  a few more coffees and like 6 Diet Cokes to boot.

The day was also full of warm fuzzies and one big cold un fuzzie but this is my blog and I've already talked about it too much.  I realized this day that I also am devoid of accepting compliments.  So many people were coming up to me telling me how great I did in the presentation the day before and I was stoked about it but I was never sure what to say in return.  What sounds better to senior management: being like yeah thanks!! I knew I'd kick ass, or like "Ehh I was so nervous"  (I chose the latter) but I'm sure it wasn't the best call.

I grabbed dinner by myself that night because the other teams were all studying real hard for their presentation.  I so conveniently sat across from the Scientology Center of Minneapolis (which I have a picture of it but it's not working).  There was a sign outside that said "Are you curious about yourself?? Come in..".  No thanks crazy face.

The night ended with some drinks with my favorites in the hotel lobby and much needed sleep.  Next day I woke up at 4:30 to make my way back to Boston.  The guy who drove me to the hotel found it so amazing that I worked in PR and kept asking me if I knew Dog the Bounty Hunter.  I'm serious.  He told me he wrote him letters telling him he thought he would be a great bounty hunter.  OOO Minneapolis.

EDIT: One more addition I forgot (but Pat reminded me).  In addition to my many beverages I enjoyed that day - I got to experience Dunn Brothers Coffee.  No - not owned by my good friend P Dunn but he wishes.  There are quite a few of them - one across from the office and one was IN the library we had our retreat at.  I was Dunn Brothers-ed out.  So good.  They had sugar free coffee shots in all the good flavors and not just Hazelnut and French Vanilla.

Speaking of coffee I think my next blog may include my ode to Pumpkin Spice Coffee.

I have been so neglectful to my blog lately.
I've been so busy, from two presentations I have to give in Minneapolis tomorrow and Friday and other work stuff that should be taking precedence but isn't, I've barely had time to slow down.  I'm waiting for someone to call me right now so I found it good time to blog it up.

Tie at # 10 but obvs I had to leave the Raconteurs.  Sometimes I look at this and I'm like Hmmm I listened to this and that alot more than I thought.
Anywho.  Speaking of awesome amazinggg mindblowing music - DRUG RUG was on 90210 last night!?!? Seriously.  Who knows of them outside of Boston?  Maybe I'm just being naive but boy was I excited!!  I yelled out many times during last nights episode but that was probably the loudest and most excited.  I also yelled when they KEPT alluding to who Kelly Taylor's baby daddy was and then finally when they revealed who it was.  SPOILER ALERT it's Dylan McKay's.  I was really banking on it being Steve Sanders because of the crazy blonde hair on the kid.  Oh well.  Kudos Drug Rug.

Another 90210 tidbit a co worker and I were talking about.  Remember when the first 90210 was out and EVERY girl wanted to be Kelly Taylor or Brenda Walsh.  Everyone wanted to be them and wear what they were wearing and have a cordless phone in their room (ok maybe that was just me).  I have memories of my dad letting me watch it and I would walk around his apartment pretending I was Kelly.  I don't know if it's because I'm older but I think the characters esp the girls Annie who is "Brenda" and Silver "I don't know who she'd be" in this revival of 90210 are so gross.  I don't look at them thinking "Man they're SO cool I want to be like them" (Ok so I may say that while watching the Hills and/or Gossip Girl ALL THE TIME) I look at them and think "Please eat a sandwich.  No really please".  When did NO boobs or any sort of shape become in??  They are both so frighteningly thin and sick looking it's scary.  Don't get me wrong I totally LOVE this new revival of the very popular 90's show - but I don't think it's going to resonate NEARLY as much as the first one did.

In other awesome television news, Fringe was kind of amazing last night.  Not because of the weirdly aged newborn but for all the Stoughton references!!!! As Liz and I kept noticing - there is NO damn water in Stoughton and there is NO bridge that looks anything like that - or like the Verrazano and I previously noted. Good episode though.  Can't wait till they come to Braintree and bust some crazy science experiment going down at Motel 6.

For good measure - some Drug Rug fun I found on YouTube.  The first one is from March 21 2008 when I saw them with The Cribs (who are equally awesome):

Winter Time

For The Rest of Your Life
This one shows you how incredible the lady singer, Sarah's (who reminds me SO much of Teeter Sperber!) voice is.

Tina Fey is my hero.

Are you kidding me with this!? Full of win.

Tune-age.
I'd like to keep up with this more but sometimes I forget.  I bring you my top 10 most listened to artists in the past 7 days:
Yeah I'm listening to Miley Cyrus and Katy Perry.  Both ladies have fun rocking albums and I have no shame.  Been in a wicked Killers mood for the past 4-5 days hardcore.  So good.  Still wish I saw them at Foxwoods.

So I watched Fringe last night and I think I liked it a lot.  JJ Abrams has a fetish with plane disasters and likes to recycle music from Lost.  No big shakes.  I liked it.  Joshua Jackson is reason enough for me to stick around.  Bonus: The show takes place in Boston (but unfortunately is filmed in Toronto).  Some of the sky scenes were obvs very Boston but when they were in "Chelsea" it looked way nicer than what Chelsea actually looks like.  Sorry Chelsea.

So I know my birthday isn't till another month and some odd days but I'm thinking about a return trip to Salem ala last year but actually on my birthday (Oct 18 for those who feel sad for not knowing).  I'm thinking HUGE mojitos from that bar we watched the Red Sox own in, rando witch tours, candy apples and Salem Beer Garden.  Thoughts?

Opa!!
Saturday I attended the Greek Festival in Braintree.  Very random and totally ironic (just saw Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants and remembered how much I wanted to go to Greece - ok not ironic at all).  Anyhow while myspacing early in the week I got word that my pal Heather ( a real greek ) would be attending.  As Robyn and I are driving past the HUGE Greek church I exclaim with glee that we should go and crash it.

So I call my good friend Heather and turns out she's there and rather bored.  What I really wanted to get there was an evil eye bracelet.  I know you can get it at the lame mall kiosks but I just didn't want to do that.  And since the Greek Festival is about $3000 less than a trip to Greece I decided to buy one there.  It's very pretty.  And blue.  When we got to the Greek festival a festive Greek (i'm assuming) lead us to a space.  We find that the Greek Festival is actually outside - in the 90 degree weather.  Insane.  We perused the flea market like boutique which was very cool and everyone was really jazzed about their products.  I wish I took more pictures of some of the things that were there.  Alot of people were selling Christmas stuff and I couldn't understand why.  I bought said bracelet and also picked one up for Mom and Hillary.  Twinsies.  After a discussion on ouzo and how it was a shame they did not offer any at the festival we headed outside to meet Heather.

So mad that we just ate before deciding to go because there were SO much - too much amazing food and aromas outside.  Traditional greek music was played by a band who's average age was 85 and kids and grandmas were dancing.  What I did want was a alcoholic beverage.  Not ouzo :( Was going to grab wine before I saw they had Greek beer.  Obviously I had to try it.
Before we left I picked up some traditional Greek pastries for Mom and looked at jewelry once more.  I don't know what it is with me and flea market jewelry.  I love it.  It's cheap and campy and always provides a fun story.  I have this one really rad ring that I get so many compliments on that I actually got from the Revere flea market.  I bartered and everything.  True story.  Let's go back.

Yesterday (Monday) I'm sure I saw death beside my bed.  I was more sick than I have ever been in my entire life.  I took my first sick day in like 3 years.  I couldn't talk, I couldn't walk - I pitied myself all day lol.  Usually I like to watch TV when I'm sicky but I physically couldn't concentrate on opening my eyes or getting up if I didn't have to.  Finally at 4pm I felt a little better and took a shower (which felt great) and watched Entourage and Big Brother from the night before.  Went to bed really early and woke up today feeling 95% better.  Still a little headache but mostly all better.

I actually just wanted my fourth 3-day weekend in a row.

Minneapolis next week for All-Staff and new business presentation!  Then travel is done for this year.  I really want to go to Vegas for fun over Thanksgiving weekend.....

Just because I love Sarah Palin so much....

Where did my long weekend go??
It was over before it started.  But it was a good one!

I took Friday off for my last STO (summer time off, natch) day my company so graciously gives to all employees.  I got my hair cut ( needed it SO bad ), got my car inspected ( was NOT going to forget about that ) and got a mani/pedi with Hurdy.  We decided it should be date night so we planned an outing to Fuji, by far my favorite place to get sushi in the South Shore area.  The drinks are amazing and the sushi is insane.  And anyone will tell you the highlight is the TV in the mirrors of the bathroom.  John and one of his work friends decided to join to.  We got SO much sushi.  We ate all but probably 2 pieces.  I took a picture of it with the enV but it didn't come out for some reason.  Sad because it was such a beautiful presentation.  Hillary was handicapped with her chopsticks so the waitress gave her "training wheels" for her sushi.  So funny.  I already want to go back this weekend.

Saturday night I kidnapped Robyn to come to Boston with me for Miss Heather's birthday!  Pictures of that to come later.  We met the ladies at HRC for drinks and then we moved on to the Black Rose where I saw the jerk who runs the nautilus at the YMCA playing in his "band".  And by "band" I mean he just kind of stood there.  I guess this story is only funny to people who have been bullied by him.  Anywho we discovered the Black Rose has a cool loungey type of place upstairs so we found ourselves some comfy chairs and chit chatted.  Alysse is telling her friends how when she was 13 I showed her what a 69 was by using my hands.  I decided to this time show her using my empty beer glass and Robyn's what I thought was empty beer bottle.  You know how this goes when I turned her beer bottle upside down I spilled it all over my legs, my shoes and even a little on the guys at the table next to me.  Robyn typically will leave like 2-3 inches of beer still in the glasss because apparently it's filled with backwash?? But she'll finish other drinks.  Yeah makes no sense to me.  After the BR we made our way to Hennessey - which was a place I've never been to nor have I never seen but they claim to be the best irish bar in Boston (lie).  They had cheap drinks and a pretty decent band who did good Killers covers.  Made it an early-ish night but still had a blast.

Sunday I invited some folks over for some fun in the sun.  Annie made an appearance seeing as I haven't seen her in like two months.  Tt was fun.  We gossiped and swam and talked about how awesome my guacamole was.  OK maybe not the last one but my guacamole made a re appearance but boy it was good. I think the one the week before may have been a little better but oh well.  Later Pat, John, Hill and I got some takeout and watched the new Harold and Kumar and The Bank Job - both which were pretty good.  Rounded out the night with some Mad Men and more fun.

Monday was a pretty chill day.  I made my probably last attempt at getting more color.  I swear I have an SPF force field around me.  I could sit in the sun ALL day long and get NOTHING.  Not a tan, not a burn.  Nothing.  Guess that's a good thing.  Monday, however, brought back two of my favorite shows:  Gossip Girl and One Tree Hill.  Gossip Girl is a new favorite of mine.  I watched last season off and on but I bought the DVD probably about three weeks ago that THAT turned me into a super fan.  My sordid history with One Tree Hill is a little deeper.I started watching this show at season 3 I think and from the last ep of that season I was HOOKED.  WHY do I like this show?  Honestly.  I can't turn it off.  EVER.

I watched the new 90210 last night which was ok but better with mine and Pat's running commentary.  Long story short, girl from Nip/Tuck is the new Mischa Barton (talentless and homely), the whole cast needs to EAT big time, and Lucille Bluth may single handedly be the coolest grandma in the world, oh and Shannon Doherty needs to stay the whole season.  Fact.

So I finally figured out how to work my last.fm.  I've had it for quite a while but never figured out how to work it.  Alas I figured it out.  Taking a page from Jessica below is what I've been listening to for the past week:

I'm cool.  I just downloaded some questionable music so this is going to get consistently more embarrassing week by week.  Fact.

In my quest to be Martha Stewart, I decided to take on making two classic summer staples for my impromptu cookout this past saturday.
Guacamole
Seriously so good.  I think I got the recipe from Barefoot Contessa.  I used fresh squeezed lemons and everything.  I think I might make it again this weekend.  My next plan is home made salsa.

Also made some BADASS Sangria.

There was more in there but we drank it.  Duh.  I put oranges, apples and pears in it.  Best part is eating the fruit after.  So good.  I was very proud of myself.

The rest of the day was filled with pool fun, grill masters, talks about politics and camp rock (??).

Two more work days this week!  I've been feeling really positive at work lately.  I've been getting all my work done on time and being really diligent on items that I would in the past put to the back burner and stepping up on projects.  I got my review last week.  Everything I have to work on I 100% agree with and I am making a concise effort to improve those things so I can get a raise (monetary and merit) before the end of the year.  Is it nerdy that I really just want a better title?? Probably.

Anyways this will be my first long weekend in like a million years.  No big plans.  Mom's trying to get me to visit them at the campground but I boycotted camping for a reason.  Maybe planning something epic.  Maybe not.

Off topic:  Hillary Clinton's speach was amazing at the DNC.  Another off topic: Obama-Biden looks strangely like Osama Bin Laden.  Am I the only one to notice?!

Two more things:
Mad Men was great this week.
Peggy's sister is a biatch and Colin Hanks looks too much like his dad.
I'm starting to really dislike Betty Draper.  I loved her when she tried to shoot the birds in season 1 but she's being kind of an ass lately.
I still have to catch up on last weeks Swingtown (which I am insanely in love with) and Big Brother from Sunday night.  LOVE Renny.
I dedicate this post to the best wrap ever.  This little deli in the harbor makes the best wraps.  I got the Mediterranean wrap yesterday and fell in love - so natch I had to get it again today.  This may become a problem.
It's got a yummy olive tapenade as the spread and then inside is wicked fresh tuna, greek dressing, lettuce, feta and tomatoes.  Woah.  Thank you Front Street Deli for making my work day a little bit more fun.
PS.  Yes I eat at my desk everyday.

So I was a previous hater of Paramore but recently I have become a huge fan.  I just LOVE her damn voice and that CD is ragin.  Anywho I got tickets to see them quite a while ago and I JUST remembered last Friday that it was SUNDAY!! Woah.

So Pat and I make our way to Providence.  About half way there in a town in Mass I have never heard of, this cop starts following me really close - but not pulling me over.  All of the sudden the cop puts his lights on and pulls me over!!  So I fidget around for my registration that of course I can't find and the cop says to me "I pulled you over because your driving an unregistered car.  This cars registration ended in June 08"  I no joke was like "Are you serious??"  He's like yes ma'am. Luckily he was being nice and he let me go with the promise I would get it registered the next day oh and a nice fat citation.  Pat says they could have arrested me.

The show was at Providence Piers and it was a DUMP.  We couldn't find a place to park so finally after much driving around (past seedy strip clubs named Cheaters and nudie stores) we FINALLY parked in this random lot where my car was at like a 45 degree down angle.  Not fun.  We met up with Heather and Alysse once we got in to the concert area that resembled Warped Tour 2005 (again NOT fun).

Phantom Planet played and they were actually really good.  They played California. Obvs.

Paramore was incredible.  I was too busy rocking out to take any pictures honestly.  We weren't going to leave until we heard Misery Business and as soon as it started Pat's like LET's run down and try to get in front.  Why I thought it was a good idea I don't know but we got pretty close.  I dropped my sunglasses, Gucci ones natch and had a mini freakout but I grabbed them.  Thank god.

More randomness follows.

Miss Alysse and I and Pat's peace sign.

This guy was looking at us real weird so to elliminate weirdness Pat says "I work for CW". Which he does not.

And for point of reference the shady place I parked at.  Was RIGHT under the big bug you see on 95 right before getting into Prov:

Superrrr shady.

My videos from Radiohead last night!
We had pimp ass seats though we never sat in them.

Karma Police

Paranoid Android

SO awesome.  It took us two hours (usually takes 25 minutes ish) to get there because people do not know how to drive.  We were starving so we got food wicked quickly as Radiohead is starting and we ran to our "seats".  The guys behind us we're totally bromancing it.  They were like DUde you guys are so cool let's exchange #'s so we can hang out in ::insert townie bar here::  I think they were even hugging it out.  We  played the yes/no game while waiting to get out (another 90 minutes) and listened to Motion City, Raconteurs, Jo Bros, course a little radiohead and acted like silly girls.

OFF TOPIC: So I'm watching the Olympics and they have these guys in between Phelps races that feel him all up to loosen his muscles.  Where do I sign up???  They get IN there.

Ohh boy.  Excited that I can stay up and watch gymnastics tonight because I took a MUCH needed day off tomorrow - but I'm sure I'll still be doing some work.  Booooo.

Saw Radiohead last night.

Finally my video of Boys of Summer from the Eagles concert!
I don't know why it looks like that.  Just press the play button.

Yes I said Black Flag in place of Dead Head for those who are concerned :)

T-minus two days till Salt Lake City.
Really not looking forward to it.  Looking forward to seeing some of my favs but NOT excited for the flight OR for working Sat and Sun.
Or for this:
Yep that's my name spelled wrong.

I already can't wait to come home and I haven't left yet.

Ok I'm also excited for some new shoes.

Weekend obsessions installment #409845
MAD MEN
This is pretty much the best show EVER.  I got hooked last summer because of Pat's good words for it and I bought season 1 in July which made me fall even more in love with it.  When you think of AMC you don't think of ground breaking programming but this is certainly an exception.  Last nights ep was stellar and it's only going to get better.  So if you don't watch this show you'd better start.  10pm Sundays.

MY CUSTOM VAN
Some of the funniest shit I ever read.  I actually missed him when he came to the Border's down the street and I'm seriously regretting it after reading this book.  If you've ever seen ANY I Love.... series on VH1 you have already been introduced to Michael Ian Blacks humor.  This book is made up of great short stories/anecdotes/crazyness/what if situations.  I have never laughed so hard.  Favs include 'TACO PARTY", "What I would do if I was Billy Joel on the way to a party that had a Piano", "Open letters to Celine Dions husband", "My New Years Resolutions", "Open letters to the first girl I fingered", and tons more.  Genious.  Such unintentional humor.  If you laugh at yourself all day long you will appreciate this humor.

All in all this weekend was fantastic.  I left work early on Friday because it was SUPER slow and all my projects were completed for the day (seriously NEVER going to happen again) so I went to Old Navy to use my coupon that Heather gave me (thanks HW!).  I got cute bermuda-ish shorts for the work trip to Utah (I have to TRY to fit in with out all outdoor nerds) and some cute tops.  Went home, sunned and swimmed and read (still on New Moon of the Stephanie Meyer series.  Too slow) and I took a NAP!  A NAP!! I haven't taken a nap since college.  Pat and I went to Chilis for good food, drinks and fun times.  That place never gets old.  There was a woman talking to me before Pat got there and she was doing a raging crossword puzzle.  Weird.  She kept noting that my Dirty Martini looked good and inquired what made it dirty.  Olive juice.  She gasped!!!! Who would like olive juice in their drink she shrieked!

After we met with Hill and John and went out for the Mr's birthday to The Half Door where I saw not ONE but TWO ex boyfriends that I decided they are the only two I don't mind running into.  After that we went to Clash of the Ask aka the new Sarsfields AKA Class of the Ass.  I'm offically calling it Class of the Ass forever.  We danced and sang SO much that we were sore and we lost our voices.  My butt still hurts from shaking it :)

Sat was a relaxing day.  We did a yum lunch at the Cheesecake Factory and later in the night we got take out and watched Meet the Spartans (DUMBBBBB) and Drillbit Taylor (JUST OK).

Sunday Andrea, Hill, John and I went to see Step Brothers which is exactly how I expected it to be - funny and inappropriate as hell.  We went to lunch and gabbed about everything.  Vaca's to wine country, Disney and cruises.

Like Jessica I have become a little obsessed with apple shift 4 (only for cool mac kids) but for stupid work stuff.  However I am now going to start implementing it in my blog.  First installment speaks for itself:

Looks like theres no end in sight to this miserable weather.  My pool has been like near overflowing for the past few days so last night in mid down pour I decide I'm going to go out and put the pump in to see if I can get it a little lower.  I've been told a million times our pool is grounded - however I got shocked.  Went up my whole arm and I probably woke up the new baby next store with my never ending flow of expletives.  So I just started putting buckets in it and pulling out water.

I had nightmares all night that the pool would cave in under all the weight and my house would flood.  I have my neighbor on the case now as I am at work.  However I was going to leave early so I could go babysit the pool after my conference call at 11am - but of course it gets changed to an awful 3:30.

Ack.  Got to go get ready for said call.

New Obsession!

Great weekend.
Started on Thursday actually.  I bought a new digital camera.  So amazing.  I needed an upgrade badly.  Pat and John tagged along and it was comical whenever I lost them I would just roam the video game aisle cause I know they'd be back. Pictures below.  Courtesy of le new camera.

I took Friday off for my summer-time-off day (taking another one this Friday - I'm going to be so spoiled come September when we don't get them anymore) and went to see the Dark Knight with Hillary and Pat.  I got tickets for Pat and I last Sunday - I guess I really thought it was going to be sold out but Hillary got her ticket day of.  Lame.  Anyways.  I cannot say enough amazing things about this movie.  Best movie I have seen in YEARS - worlds better than Batman Begins (which I wasn't a huge fan of - I hate Katie Holmes) even though SPOILER ALERT SPOILER ALERT Cillian Murphy was in it for 5 seconds.  Maybe not even.  Who cares.  Best MOVIE ever.
Saturday Pat, Hill and John came over for a pool party and it was fun.  Lots and lots of drinks were had and lots of laughs and randomness.  One of those great summer days.

I'm not the hugest fan of that picture but it reminds me of what I love about summer.  So whatever.

After taking a pseudo nap we trucked it to Rockland to Pat's cousins house where more sillyness ensued.  Hillary and Pat did the "cigarette smoosh" I whipped out my version of the Carlton and Pat's cousins wife and I begged the "DJ" for LOve is a Battlefield which then prompted me to proclaim my love for 13 Going On 30.

Sunday I chillaxed and did lots of housework.  Later in the day me and RC went to see Mamma Mia.  ANOTHER fantastic movie.  I never knew much about Abba but I went home and bought the soundtrack.  Call me a sellout but I LOVED ITTTTT.  I've been singing it all day at work.

Work is still kicking my ass.  I cleaned up a few big items I've been working on for the past two weeks today so I feel like a literal weight has been lifted.  Next biggie is the OR show August 8-11. When that is over I need to start planning a vaca!

So.  Random.

Today I was waiting for Bethany to go to lunch with me.  I'm restless.  All the time so I put my shades on and I think it's really smart for me to sit backwards on my chair, on my knees and spin around.  Well while I'm spinning I underestimate my top-heavyness and over I go with the chair.  I tried to catch myself.  I went face first into the floor and chest first into the heavy ass part of my chair.  Needless to say I feel like I have a tank on my chest because it's all bruised and it hurts when I take a deep breath.

However it was the funniest thing that's ever happened to me.  Bethany said as I was falling I was very calm and all I said was "Woah woahhhhhh".  I kind of laid on the ground and laughed until she was ready.

Kathleen came in later and as I was trying to recreate it I almost did it again.  Wicked smart.

I was feeling a little down yesterday and the laughter that was produced from my idiotic fall saved my day.  Weird how that happens.

Dark Knight friday.  Too excited.

Updates galore:
  • Saw Wanted.  Really liked it.  Yeah the story was kind of retarded and Angelina looked like the kids from Rwanda she helps rescue; but that James McEvoy stole the show and it was overall visually pleasing.
  • Saw Wall-E which I adored and cried at the end.  Yep.  I did. So good.
  • Major stress city at work.  I don't know how to say no.  I feel like it's going to catch up to me.  I want to work my way up so badly and I want to prove myself and I think that I have to take on all tasks given to me.  Needless to say I worked till midnight last night at my house and I came into work at 7am this morning.
  • Salt Lake City in three weeks.  Was excited.  Not so much anymore.
  • There is a mother-effing CHIPOTLE in the South Shore Plaza.  Yeah I cheated on my diet last weekend.
Saw my favorite band in the world Alkaline Trio last night. I have had very bad luck seeing Alkaline Trio in the past so I wasn't going to let anyone come in my way.  I even watched HALF of an opening band (OMG - couldn't take it anymore so RC and I went and sat near the bathrooms and played a very juvenile game).
Saw my unofficial little brother Johnny and Kelsey and I was superrr excited.  Alkaline Trio came out and were amazing.  It's criminal to look as good as Matt Skiba.

Ok so they're the same picture pretty much.  Whatev.

Only problem I had with the show is that the set list was AWFUL.  Blue Carolina SAVED it. Two songs from Good Mourning, one from Crimson (!!!!!), two from remains, like 7 new songs and then some old classics.  I made my own set list Friday and it went like this for the record:

My Standard Break from Life
Blue Carolina
Emma
Radio
Continental
Blue in the Face
Jaked on Green Beers
Queen of Pain
Mercy Me
Sadie
In Vein
Calling all Skeletons

Burn
All On Black
This Could Be Love
Help Me

I’m Dying Tomorrow
Stupid Kid

Highlighed the ones the actually played.  Eh.  I guess Skiba missed my email.

Saturday went to Nikki's for a party where I played the wonderful game of Baggo.  Interesting game and if you're bad (like i was) the game WILL go on for over an hour.  During the day Jess, Hill and I went to the beach and it was nice.  I was HUNGOVER like no ones business and ate a bagel.  So bad.  Got burnt and when I was playing said game at Nikki's the guy I was playing with kept slapping my back really hard lol.

Friday night I was OVER work so I decided to drink.  Alot.  I had three dirty martinis, three glasses of wine and then a beer!  What was I thinking.  It was me and Pat's bender we decided.  Needless to say we were the only NON drinkers the night after.  Never drinking again.

Work is going to suck this week.  I can tell.
