Quick update on my exciting (but not so much) life.

My birthday was awesome. I got new Marc Jacobs perfume Daisy, Nip/Tuck season 4, Ugly Betty season 1, some silly High School Musical stuff and possibly the best gift $75 Coach Gift Card. However I am saving it
because my mom said she'd get me another for Christmas so I could add to it and get a real nice Coach bag. After the last few months I'll fucking deserve it.

Went to Salem two days after my birthday and it was awesome. Possibly what a textbook fall day should be forever. Ate at the Salem beer Works outside and had a grand time.
Did a witch tour (which was lame but essential) and instead of going to a haunted house we took over this kind of fancy-ish bar and screamed for the red sox!

PS Red Sox World Series Champs
again!?!!?!? WTF!! Yeah it's not as exciting as 3 years ago (which is odd cause I wasn't even in Boston) but amazing regardless. Once we were on a roll we were unstoppable. Hope the parade is Thursday and NOT tomorrow.

I ended up being White trash for halloween and not paris Hilton a la jail. I had such a hankering to wear teal eyeshadow, ugly fake nails (that lasted 2 minutes total) and fake tattoos. I think i did look quite trashy and the ironic part was people kept telling me how good I looked with makeup on. Rando. Pat was Garth and Robyn was a scary ish vampire - she wore fangs and everything. She didn't drink anything and I couldn't really hear what she was saying when she talked but i guess it worked anyways.

Speaking of Vampires I saw "30 Days of Night" yesterday. It was actually quite excellent but made my stomach do flips. I can usually handle grossness but this was just yucky. Good movie overall though. I think I might like Josh Hartnett again.

Some pictures for your viewing pleasure before I leave.

Yeah I totally got the High School Musical game for my birthday. I'm sure this was the only time it will be played.

My martini out for my birthday. Caramel apple martini. Had little sliver of a caramel apple on the slide. I had to take a picture of it before I ate it!

Hillary really did get me this. It's not your imagination. She knows I love the Zefron.

Biggest and best Mojito for reals at said Bar we took over.

Phone saga # 810.

The other day I realized some of the buttons on my phone weren't working.
For instance I couldn't erase notes/lists that I made. The Erase button wouldn't connect.

Also (sounds really trival) my Navigaton wouldn't work. The OK button to launch it was just not working,

So when I went to the mall yesterday I went by the Verizon store and they gave me a new one. Now there are total pros and cons to this. Pro is that the phone got totally mangled by the case that ate it (refer to post a few ones down) so getting a new one would make me happy. Con is that I lose every picture from Vegas and other things I took photos of. Last weekend @ Greg's I took a video of Hannah and Autumn singing and dancing with their tooth tunes. Also lost my fun ringtones but I think they gave me a credit because in my phone now I have like 4 credits when I only had one from my exchanged phone.

Anywho. I'm not taking the protective sticker off the front of the phone or off the main screen in the inside.
I thought it would look silly but you can't even tell it's there.

Friday night Pat and I went to see Playin Dead again. It was sooo fucking cold out!!! It wasn't cold in Braintree and when we bot into Boston it was like 38 degrees. WTF! But we got to listen to some tunes and watch the Red Sox own the Indians (for that night we will not talk about Sat night). I got an Octoberfest that smelled like Pee and one of Pat's friends tried to convince me it was the pumpkin spice in it - lies. Later I got wine and Pat was so excited when he realized he was going to two halloween parties that he hit my wine glass therefore flipping it down my shirt. I was jinxed that night. We left around midnight and got detoured through Copley and Pat was making me laugh till I was almost crying.

EDIT: Pats's recount of the evening is WAY better. His blurty is in my links over there <--------

Saturday Robyn and i saw We Own the Night which obvs I saw because of Joaquin Phoenix. Good lord I love him. The movie was actually quite decent but I'm REALLY excited for Reservation Road, another movie with Joaquin Phoenix and I'm also reading the book right now. I go two years without a new Joaquin movie and now two in two weeks! AND one being my birthday week! What a treat!!!

Yes it's true I will be a quarter century aka 25 on Thursday. Yikes.

PS. I want to see Legally Blonde on Broadway! I've been watching it via MTV and it looks so damn good.

la laa.

So I'm sitting here stuffing mailers for the new PB product and listening to the new Foo Fighters (good shit btw) and I have decided to update the blogspot.

Not like anyone cares. So emo.

I have finally decided on a Halloween costume. Thanks to Annie for the past two years I've actually had to come up with a costume after avoiding it for so many years.

Hill, Robyn and I went to Halloween Express in Weymouth. They had some really awesome costumes and I was going to dress up as Professor Trewlawny from Harry Potter because Hill is going to be Hermione, John is going to be Harry and Robyn is going to be Bellatrix - and yes we're nerds we like to match.

I really wanted to be Alice and Wonderland but the costume was so skanky. I had hopes it would fit but I felt as though the skirt would be WAY too short. I finally saw a costume for Princess in Prison aka Paris Hilton circa jail time!

The costume was hideous but I can totally make one!!
So that's what I'm going to be. I'm going to make my hair super flat, get some handcuffs, HUGE glasses and a little stuffed puppy to carry around!!

Best idea ever? Y/Y??

I'm going to stencil LA County Jail on the front of the shirt and stencil Hilton on the back.

Fucking sweet.

My office looks like a tornado came and blew through it - I can't wait till this mailing is DONE!!

So stoked!

So in my previous post I posted the picture I took of the editor interviewing one of the Sales guys from PB.
I was so stoked about it and I've checked the Bicycling website since Sunday and nothings come up.

In the world of PR you can get an editor to talk to you - you can send samples and they can give you confirmation that yes they will use it, but things can always fall through - so you can imagine my excitement when I decided to check the site out today for shits and giggles and look what's up there! The interview I set up. I really felt like a mini big shot! David asked me what I thought he should highlight and where they should stand. I cut the Happy Hour line so I could get the beer (with the PowerBar logo pint glasses) in their hands.

So watch it. If for no other reason that I was a rockstar for 10 minutes.

Makes me feel like this - without the brain drilling and all that nonsense.

Now I must start working on my report to feature that and another video I scored.

ROCKSTAR.

View of the Bellagio Hotel and Casino from where Carson, Katie and I ate dinner Tuesday night.
I played tourist of course. That light/water show will forever impress me!

What's the West Coast without a trip to The Coffee Bean (my first). PS Lauren that is a Vanilla Latte that I fell in love with.

The entrance to Tao which needed to be documented. Gorgeous marble tubbs filled with candles and rose petals. Hello!
Outside of Tao after we ate there was a little red carpet set up I guess for people going in if they wanted to be silly and pose in front of it.
Andy and I got a photo in front of it and it's on one of their cameras. I neeeddddd it.

This was the ever growing line at our happy hour. Never seen so many people excited for Sierra Nevada beer before. And I still didn't get any. But I had numerous people tell me they went to college where it was brewed.

Side story.

This editor I met with tells me the story about how it's brewed in Chico, California and that's where he attended college.

Me: haha.

Editor: What's funny?

Me: I think that's where one of the characters on the OC was from. Chico.

Editor: Ryan. No he was from Chino.

*pauses*

Editor: Can't believe I know that and just admitted to watching that god awful show.

* We then talked about the demise of the OC and how Chuck (also by Josh Schwartz) is already more awesome than the OC ever was.

One of my favorite moments of the whole show. This editor (the one with the camera) met with me earlier and was doing a montage of Happy Hours and wanted to talk to a sales guy. Sales guys are typically personality free and not very interesting. I sweated it out asking them if they'd do an interview. That guy in the blue was the 4th guy I asked who finally said yes he'd do it. David you were my rockstar!

You can't see in that picture but they're drinking out of PowerBar pint glasses that I really want to get my hands on.

MM I'm knee deep in post Vegas follow up and reports but I thought it appropriate for a quick update.

-someone stole my cell phone. yeah lamepants.
-my company bought me a new one. A very pretty one. I tryed to link to it but Verizon is ghey. It's the enV. Envy.
-Got a nice case for it.
-dropped said phone and said case broke. nice.
-now I can't get the fucking case off and my fingers are purple from trying to do so.
-did the Vegas thing.
-worked my pretty little head off and learned more than I could ever wrap my head around.
-decided West Coast may be the perfect place for me because my hair looked hot everyday.
-Went to celeb hot spots like Tao and Light. Saw no celebs.
-Saw Jason Biggs yesterday outside the movies in Boston. Go fig.
-ate better in vegas than I have in my entire life. Thanks for taking good care of me.
-decided that yes - I can actually get ready, look decent and pack my suitcase in 8 minutes.

Ugh.

I did a great job in Vegas. Trade shows are interesting places. I talked to lots of media even if they didn't want to talk to me. Whatever - you come to our booth for snacks and I can't talk to you. Whatevs.com. I gave my card to anyone who'd listen and give me a minute.

I'm getting better at being more forward and not being so shy about bothering people.
Good/bad? lol

One question I got 100 times in Vegas was "if you're from Boston how come you don't have an accent". Got me thinking - I really don't. Thank god. I love my hometown but I have become completely devoid of having an accent. I guess it's a good thing. I think they are cool but sometimes Boston accents sound completely trashy.

My fucking phones case is driving me up a wall. Biggest waste of $25 EVER!
It made my phone even dirtier and ugly.
Then when I drop it it breaks? And now I can't get it off.
I'm going to go to the Verizon store after work tonight in hopes they can take it off while saving my phone.

Back to work.
